Y’s Men’s Club back in the Christmas swing

The Y’s Men’s Club of Broken Hill are hot out of the blocks with Christmas spirit thanks to their famous Letters to Santa Christmas event, which is much loved by Silver City kids.

The program sees mailboxes across the city popping up so kids (and adults too) across Broken Hill can get their Christmas wishes direct to Santa. If you ensure there is a return address on your letter, you will get a response from none other than Father Christmas himself.

On top of Letters to Santa, the Club have also secured Breakfast with Santa for the first time since 2019. Mr. Claus has not been available for in-person events like this for quite sometime due to the global pandemic.

“We have been doing this [Letters to Santa and breakfast with Santa] for over 40 years,” Y’s Men’s Club secretary and treasurer, Ron Symons, says.

Tickets to this exclusive event with Santa are incredibly limited, with only 100 available. This once in a lifetime opportunity to have brekky with Santa Claus himself will cost you just $2 – tickets from either the Aquatic Centre or the YMCA.

When we spoke to Father Christmas himself, he told us, “I can’t wait to get back to Broken Hill and find out who has been naughty and nice. Ho Ho Ho…”.
