North two games clear as South smash West

SOUTH vs WEST

Round 10 of the Women’s competition saw South enjoy its largest score of the year and its biggest-winning margin of the season with a 137-point win against West at Alma Oval on the weekend.

The Roos began with a six-goal first quarter and didn’t slow down with the side dead-eye in front of goal with an 81% conversion rate in scoring shots, while West were held scoreless across the entire match.

Four South players kicked new season-best goal tallies, led by Melisa Keenan’s game-high seven majors. Abbey Stevens (five), Sienna Campbell (four), and Alice Bright (two) were the other three players, and those who also kicked multiple goals. Abbey Johns, Lila Parker, and Alexis Aguis – in her 100th game – kicked individual goals for the Roos.
