Lions Club Christmas Raffle Winner

Sue Trenaman is the recipient of a brand-new Hyundai after her name was drawn from the Lion’s Club’s Car for Christmas raffle on Saturday afternoon.

With the fresh set of wheels donated by Far West Auto, Ms Trenaman was elated that she was its new owner as we got together for a chat with her on Monday.

“Very, very exciting. Really exciting. Don’t believe it. Didn’t expect it! It’s a really nice treat,” she joyously remarked.

“We will keep it in the family. It’ll always have someone around to drive it so we will keep it. I’m very, very grateful to have it. We’re happy the Lions Club do what they do and we’re very delighted to keep buying our tickets to support that for the local community, which is lovely.”

Lions Project Chairman, Trevor Odgers, thanked the community for making this year’s raffle a success for another year running.

“We’re very happy with the results of the raffle. I would like to thank Far West Auto [Dealer] Principal Mark Grundy and the locals that have supported us. I think because everything stays local, goes back to the community”, he said.
