South prepare for debutante ball

South FC Debutante Ball 2024

Debutantes and their squires have been busy practicing their graceful dancing moves for the ever-popular South Football Club Debutante Ball, set to take place this Saturday night.

The Gary Radford Pavilion at the Broken Hill Regional Events Centre will transform into a ballroom fit for a fairytale story as eight stunning debutantes in breathtaking white floor-length ballgowns, and their dashing squires in their finest formal attire will make a grand entrance.

The debutante ball celebrates the coming-of-age of Broken Hill’s finest young women, with the South Football Club providing the perfect backdrop to do so. Star players from the South Football Club Abbey Stevens and Michael Vlatko have been selected as the honourees that the eight couples will be presented to.

A mesmerising blend of time-honoured tradition and fun will ensue as they prepare to dazzle and delight the crowd elegantly in the form of parent waltzes, partner waltzes, and some lively toe-tapping cha-cha numbers, with renowned dance instructor Gemma Murray offering her guidance to ensure they perfect their dance routines.
