OTR Open and Ready for Business

On The Run – better known as OTR – has officially opened for business in the Silver City under the name Store 24 – which points to it being open 24-hour opening.

While OTR is pretty much a household name in South Australia – the company operates a swag of combined fuel and convenience store sites – it’s less well known this side of the border, but that looks set to change.

The prominent service station in South Australia, began operations in Broken Hill this month under the temporary moniker Store 24 at 1 Blende Street. It has taken over the Lindsay’s Auto and Essentials site.

It is not the last OTR we are likely to see in Broken Hill. A second location is slated to open in the South on Patton Street in 2023.

“We’ve had people ask ‘oh, are you open,’ because when it was Lindsay’s it used to close at 7.30pm or something like that. So, the public aren’t used to it, but soon enough they will get used to it,” OTR

Store Manager Jake Bevan told the Barrier Truth.

Along with the rebrand, OTR staples C Coffee and Moe’s will be a part of the expanded site in the early months of 2023.

No confirmation yet though on whether a fast-food chain will be a part of the expanded site. What we do know is, “there will be more shelf space, more range, more variety,” says Mr Bevan.
