Kmart Wishing Tree

One of the biggest harbingers of Christmas is the appearance of the Kmart Christmas Wishing Tree.

A collaboration between one of the country’s biggest retailers and charity the Salvation Army, the appeal is entering its 35th year.

That makes it Australia’s largest and longest running Christmas gift appeal.

Thanks to the generosity of people across Australia, the annual appeal has raised more than 10 million gifts that have been distributed to those in need.

You can get involved at Kmart at Broken Hill Village. Bring your unwrapped Christmas gifts to the booth alongside the tree, where your gift will be labelled and passed on to needy children in the region in time for Christmas.
