Live music is finally making a comeback across the country and Broken Hill is not being left behind with ARIA award winning artist Kasey Chambers making a visit to the Silver City on Sunday night with her band and support act, Tim Bowden, at the Musician’s Club.
Tickets sold out early on and the Broken Hill Show was the only one on the tour to be a complete sell out.
It was not just the local Broken Hill crowd enjoying the show, but people came from far and wide including Matt ‘Warby’ Warburton who made the trip up the highway from Mildura.
Big Kasey Chambers fans, Warby said they had came up for the weekend as neither family have really experienced Broken Hill so they thought they would come up for the ride and see what Broken Hill had to offer.
“We’ve enjoyed ourselves today looking at all the history, we went out to Silverton and looked around.
“It’s been great to get out with another family, Leanne and Chris [Hunt] and their kids came up with us.”
Support act Tim Bowden, who appeared on the 2020 season of The Voice television show, warmed up the crowd with his stunning voice, along with wife Christina.
A doctor by day, Christina is also a talented singer.
Although the series was billed as Intimate and acoustic sessions, this was not the case with only one acoustic song performed.
Having said that, the enthusiastic crowd were certainly not disappointed with the show and were also treated to Kasey’s 20-year-old son Talon’s first tour in his mother’s band.
It seems all three of her children have inherited their mother’s talents, with the entire family performing during the show, where it is plainly evident that she is very proud of them.
