Seven Day Spares celebrates 25 years by supporting Lines family

Seven Day Spares and Accessories owners Darryl and Angela Guerin have celebrated 25 years in business with a sale last Thursday and continued the celebrations on Wednesday by donating 25% of  the value of purchases from the sale to help the Lines family with expenses for 18-month-old Ryan who requires ongoing travel to Adelaide for medical treatment after complications with a Group A Streptococcus (GAS) bacterial infection which led to 10 minutes of cardiac arrest and multiple amputations.

Ryan’s parents Jess and Sam Lines dropped into Seven Day Spares on Wednesday with dear little Ryan who seemed to enjoy the attention, to receive a donation tin containing $200 and a $3000 cheque from the team.

“We just wanted to celebrate our business milestone by helping a local family in need,” said Mr Guerin.

“We’re heading back to Adelaide on Sunday again for a few appointments, so every little bit is helping us,” said Ryan’s mum Jess.

“He needs laser surgery on the scar on his hand – they have to cut it open to release the pressure. Because of the amputations, he’ll always have to have operations to have the bone cut down because the bone will continue to keep growing, so medical treatments will be ongoing until he finishes growing,” she continued.

“All the love and support from the community has got us through some really challenging times, and we’re very grateful to Darryl and Angela for thinking of us,” Jess said.
