Civic Ball nominations open

Broken Hill Civic Ball 2023

Nominations are open for young ladies looking to make their debut at this year’s Civic Ball, to be held on Friday, October 18.

One of the longest-running debutante balls in Australia, Broken Hill Mayor Tom Kennedy said he hoped to see plenty of locals take up the opportunity to enjoy a glamourous night out.

“This is such a wonderful tradition for Broken Hill and always makes for a spectacular and elegant event for debutantes and their families and friends,” he said.

“We always get a great mix of entrants, from young ladies who are the first of their families to make a debut, through to participants who are following on a family tradition from their mother or grandmother. It really is an occasion for the whole family and can provide memories for generations.”

Nominations close on Friday, May 24. Those wishing to nominate should contact Council’s Community Development Team via [email protected] or call Civic Ball Coordinator, Rachel Merton, on 8080 3321.
