Love In Istanbul making lamps shine

If sitting around crafting and chatting with a group is your thing, you’ll love this Turkish mosaic lamp workshop when it next rolls through Broken Hill in August.

With all materials provided, Love in Istanbul owners Rose Balca and Erdal Ozkan set up shop in the GUOOF Hall on Saturday. Complimentary apple tea and Turkish Delight were offered as the group of all ages and degrees of creative confidence sat around a long table adorned with colourful tiles and beads for decorating the Arabic style lamps.

Based in Adelaide, Rose and Erdal have left their beloved Love in Istanbul store behind to tour with their workshops. Besides Broken Hill, they’re heading to Whyalla, Mount Gambier, Warrnambool, Geelong, Mooroopna, Bendigo, Ballarat, Port Pirie, Berri, Port Lincoln, Horsham, and Orange, so be sure to let family or friends know they’re on their way.
