BizHQ moves to boost NSW Business Connect

The NSW Government’s Business Connect Program is seeing a resurgence in Broken Hill, with program provider BizHQ now handling the program across Far Western NSW.

Trevor Williams has been appointed BizHQ representative in Far West NSW, and he told the Truth, “BizHQ is a service for small-to-medium businesses, which is subsidised by the government to be free, accessible, and available for those businesses”.

Mr Williams says the main aims of BizHQ are to provide consultation and advice to businesses in the form of strategy sessions.

“My mission is to do what I did to the fitness industry in Broken Hill, that is I want to put my heart and soul in my work.”

Currently, Mr Williams is servicing seven clients locally, but BizHQ have hundreds of small businesses on their books regionally.

“I want to have consultations and provide advice to as many businesses as possible, but I also understand the balance between quantity and quality, and I want to ensure the services we are providing to business are quality,” Mr Williams said.

After owning and managing ESTR Personal Training Services in his earlier years, Mr Williams aims to “go above and beyond to create strong connections and rapport in the community, as I want to see these businesses succeed as much as mine did”.

“I love the ins and outs of running a business, I love the highs and lows of business ownership, and how chaotic it can be,” he added.

BizHQ hold regular small business webinars, which are free for small business owners. The program is also available to those planning on building a small business, so local marketeers and aspiring business owners are eligible to access it.

Natalie Haylett, who is a regular feature at local markets in Broken Hill and Silverton, says she is interested in taking part in the next few months.

“It’s important to get the message out that people can be part of the program before they open their business, because the program can help them design financial plans, business plans, and the program can even help with sourcing insurance and other must-have’s for aspiring business owners,” Mrs Haylett says.
