Raffles to be won with Barrier Truth’s Biggest Morning Tea

Broken Hill Biggest Morning Tea

The Barrier Truth will be joining Cancer Council Australia’s largest fundraiser, Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea, hosting a public event of our own on Thursday, May 25, from 11am to 1pm, outside the office building at 179 Blende St.

“One in two Australians are diagnosed with cancer before the age of 85. We want to change that, and we need your help. A morning tea will help raise vital funds to bring us closer to a cancer-free future,” a Cancer Council Australia spokesperson says.

As part of the effort to raise essential funds for people impacted by cancer, the Truth will hold a sausage sizzle on the day, as well as having pastries, cakes, and drinks available for purchase.

There are also four raffle items available to purchase tickets for, at different price points – a $2 raffle (valued over $155), a $5 raffle (valued over $274), a $10 raffle (valued over $364), and a $20 raffle (valued over $758).

“Most of the raffle items have been donated by local businesses. People can come into the office and buy a ticket, or come on the day and buy a ticket,” Barrier Truth Office Manager, Kylie Monk, said.

Come along to the Barrier Truth office at 179 Blende St on Thursday, May 25 to purchase baked goods and raffle tickets to raise money for Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea. Alternatively, to find out what’s included in each raffle pack, visit the office for a list of items, and to purchase a ticket prior to the day.
