Barbie Queue: Cinema in the pink

Siler City Cinema has been well and truly in the pink this week as Barbie mania hit town and caused queues, with lines of eager movie goers winding down Oxide.

The film, starring Aussie Margot Robbie alongside Ryan Gosling, has been a universal phenomenon grossing more than $325 million globally since its premiere.

It’s been a record breaker, with the largest box office debut across the world so far this year and is showing no signs of slowing down.

“We had over 1100 people over the weekend come through to see Barbie over the weekend,” Silver City Cinema manager Logan Pascoe told the Truth and it was the busiest the cinema has been since the Musicians Club took over ownership of the iconic theatre.

If you haven’t yet managed to see the movie, don’t despair, it continues screening for another two

You can catch Barbie at 10am, 3.30 pm and 9pm on Thursday and Friday and at 10.30, 3.30 and 6pm on Saturday and Sunday.
