Tangey shines in milestone 150

A Round 14 doubleheader rounded out the regular season for AFL Broken Hill Women’s competition with North and Central each picking up wins ahead of the looming Finals series.

 WEST V NORTH

Top-of-the-table North made sure 150-gamer Britt Tangey was celebrating at the end of a milestone match with a resounding 90-point victory against West in the early game at Jubilee Oval in a showing that would put their potential Grand Final opponents on notice.

The Bulldogs rarely surrendered possession, especially in their attacking end, with entries inside 50 rarely coming back out as the side hit the scoreboard on 30 occasions. The Robins were unable to properly get any clean possession inside their half across the entirety of the contest.

Tangey kicked five goals to end up the game’s top goalkicker, while Brooklyn Gibson kicked two goals for the Bulldogs. Kira-Lee Guthrie and Stevie Hack kicked their first goals of the season with one each, as Rebecca Deer, Kadee Miller, and Sophie Milne also kicked one apiece.
