Working bees to prepare for go-kart track inspection

Broken Hill Kart Club (BHKCI) are calling for all hands-on deck to help prepare Johnson Speedway go-kart track for the official track inspection to get the club back up and racing.

With the confirmed inspection date for Thursday October 26, BHKCI President, Hayden Slattery, wants to present an impressive facility on the day.

“We want to present the facility as best as we possibly can, so to do this we’re planning two working bees – the first on Saturday October 14 and the second one on Saturday October 21 – both days starting at 8am and going until 3pm,” said Mr Slattery.

“Everyone is welcome to come along to help with the inspection. It costs $15 to become an Associate of the Broken Hill Club, which will provide insurance cover whenever people visit the site over the next 12 months.

“After this inspection, all going well, we hope to allow members to get their karts on the track, but so long as they have the correct Karting Australia licence.

If you’d like to join via email, call Wayne Orr on 0418 911 461 to be sent a Membership Form, otherwise drop by the BHKCI track – 2km (on the left) from Broken Hill on the Menindee Road – during the working bees for a chat and to pick a form up in person.
