On Friday night, the Broken Hill Women’s Football competition played out a double-header at Jubilee Oval.

The first game was between Central and West, with the Magpies far too strong for the Robins.

The black and white were bolstered by a solid performance from Hannah Muscat and Shelby Raven.

Nikki Phillips was among the goal scorers and provided plenty of attacking prowess.

For the Robins, Paige Cuy and Brydie Mannion were among the best.

In the end, Central cruised to a 60-point win.

As the temperature dropped and the evening became night, South and North squared off in game two.

This was a close affair, with neither side able to create a buffer.

North found clearances out of the centre through the likes of Rebecca Deer and Kia Williams.

Makayla Berg also put in a solid performance, laying tackle after tackle.

Similarly, for South, Abbey Stevens found herself dishing out some strong tackles across the game.

Mel Keenan kept the Roos moving forward and in the hunt.

But the red and white fell agonisingly short, losing to the Bulldogs by just one point.

Final Score Central 9.12 (66) and West 1.0 (6)

Following game, North 3.0 (18) and South 2.5 (17)
