Wilcannia students receive care bags

Sixty care packs have been delivered by the RFDS to students in Wilcannia from headspace Broken Hill.

“The intention of the pack is to help students cope with COVID-19 restrictions they include some self-care items, activities and information,” Antonio Lavers, Youth Reference Group (YRG) member said.

Mr Lavers explained that from the money recieved from The Push Up Challenge this year, we were able to fund this project.

“Being a student is hard enough but being a student during COVID, I can’t even imagine,” he said.

Sheet face masks, yo-yos, paint or colouring pencils, letter writing packs, earphones, wrist bands, gratitude/self-care journals and factsheets regarding mindfulness and emergency contacts cards are some of the items in the packs.
