Wilcannia kids hit the right notes with Missy Higgins

By Stuart Kavanagh

The kids in the Wilcannia School Choir had the experience of a lifetime this week when they got to perform on stage at Mundi Mundi Bash with world-famous singing superstar Missy Higgins.

Wilcannia Central School Deputy Principal Sarah Donnelley, along with teachers Rachel Holmes and Mary Angley, chaperoned the youngsters and said they all had an excellent time.

“It was an amazing experience for the kids,” said Ms Donnelley.

“It’s very different singing in front of 10,000 people compared to our tiny music room,” she said.

“The kids just exuded confidence out there, and Missy and the back-up singers made them feel so confident and supported up there.”
