What a night! RFDS WA Ball 2022

Five hundred guests turned out for the Royal Flying Doctors Service Women’s Auxiliary (RFDS WA) Ball on Saturday night.

Ballgoers had a great night partying, catching up with friends and supporting the Royal Flying Doctors Service.

“We were thrilled to once again be able to hold our ball. The ball was an outstanding success thanks to many generous sponsors and donors and of course our guests,” RFDS WA President, Merrylyn Turner said.

The auction held on the night was run by Auctioneer Ben Finch from Elders and ballgoers had fun bidding on donated items.

The main auction raised an estimated $44,000 on the night according to Ms Turner.

There was also a silent auction which had heavy but friendly competition between guests and lucky spot prizes, a raffle draw, best dressed prizes and more.

“Without our supporters, like the Lions Club and bar staff and our MC, Greta from the ABC and all the RFDS WA workers and helpers and their families the Ball wouldn’t have been the success it was,” RFDS WA Secretary, Dinitee Haskard said.

The funds raised at the RFDS WA ball this year remain local and will help with equipment to service this regional area.

“Everyone had a good time supporting the RFDS Women’s Auxiliary knowing that their contributions remain in our outback local area,” Mrs Haskard said.

Now that the ball is over, the women at the RFDS WA are already thinking about their next project and readers will be happy to know they are making their famous puddings again this year.
