Broken Hill’s Barrier Police officers arrested a man at a Creedon St address. He was found hiding under a bed after a serious assault on a woman. The man, wanted on several outstanding arrest warrants, faced court this week charged with domestic violence offences.

Just after 2am on Wednesday November 8, officers attached to Barrier Police District attended a home on Creedon St following reports of a domestic-related incident.

A 21-year-old woman had allegedly been assaulted by a man known to her, struck to the head and body several times with a torch and a tool.

The woman was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being transported to Broken Hill Hospital in a stable condition.
