Want to be a tour guide at Silverton Outback Camels?

Silverton Outback Camels

Ever dreamed of living in the outback and working with creatures of all shapes and sizes? Well, here’s your chance. Silverton Outback Camels owner, Petah Divine, is looking for the right person with the right attitude for this truly unique job.

Silverton Outback Camels is about 20km out of Broken Hill, just outside of Silverton.

“We’re looking for a great tour guide,” says Petah. “Someone with a bubbly personality who works well in a small team – a storyteller who can connect with a diverse range of people would be ideal.

“Obviously we’re looking for someone who’s passionate about animals, who loves living in the outback, and especially someone who wants to work with camels.

“If you’re looking for a lifestyle change, we’re happy to train the right person who’s a motivated, self-starter – an independent person who’s comfortable working with large animals and who’s also happy to help with feeding and looking after all the animals on our small farm.

“We do camel tours, and prior experience is not essential but a willingness to learn is,” says Petah. “There’s lots of walking so you need sturdy boots and a great attitude.”

To learn more about the tour guide position, call Petah on 0428 602 664 or send your resume and an enticing cover letter about why this job is for you, to [email protected].
