Walk-in vaccination 5-15 year olds at Musos today

The Far West Local Health District vaccination centre at the Musicians Club Auditorium will be set up for only children today.

“We want to make this process as easy and comfortable as possible for kids and parents,” said Olivia Sice, COVID-19 Clinical Coordinator, FWLHD.

She said that evidence shows having children vaccinated will help protect them against severe illness and possible long-term effects from COVID -19

The kids only clinic will run from 10am to 1pm today. (Saturday, January 22).

“Vaccination will also protect your friends, family and the community, including vulnerable people of all ages,” Mrs Sice said.

Children will receive two doses of the recommended Pfizer vaccine 8 weeks apart.

If you have any questions, concerns or underlying health conditions talk it over with your GP or specialist care team.

Parents unable to attend this Saturday are encouraged to book a vaccination appointment for their child as soon as possible.

You can book an appointment at a FWLHD vaccination clinic, or with a general practitioner or community pharmacy via the ‘COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic Finder’.

Parental consent is required prior to vaccination.
