Tronox helps spread Christmas cheer

Tronox Mining Christmas Lifeline Donation

Tronox Mining has continued the Christmas cheer by donating a large collection of toys and presents to Lifeline Broken Hill – Country to Coast (LLBHC2C) for distribution to families in need in Broken Hill and Wilcannia.

Donating items from sporting equipment such as balls and bats to outdoor gear like sleeping bags and camel packs, it’s a tradition that’s been going back at least 10 years, with the company always happy to help.

“It means a great deal to us every year. We all come together and it’s one of those points in the year where we all get very proud of what we do,” Senior Production Coordinator at Tronox Mining Linton Smith said.

“To be able to give back to the community and all the young children that are out there and families in need, it’s a very proud moment for us and Tronox is very happy to do it. It’s always a highlight of our year.”

LLBHC2C will begin distributing the donations from Tronox – and other organisations and businesses around town who have gathered gifts – to registered families from Friday, just in time for Christmas.
