Walker delivers in milestone match

It was a storybook script on the King’s Birthday long-weekend Saturday evening at Adelaide Oval, when Broken Hill’s Taylor Walker celebrated his milestone 250th AFL game in emphatic style. It was a marquee match in Walker’s long and distinguished career with the Crows that started back in 2009.

Against the bottom placed West Coast Eagles, in front of many mates from home and a full contingent of family, Walker kicked a career high 10 goals and the Crows had a mammoth 122 point triumph, which beautifully set up a night of festivities.

Tex had equalled his previous best seven goal haul by halftime and the game became a celebration for Walker.

He kicked his first major in the opening minute of the game  – by the end of the game has grabbed the lead in the Coleman Medal – and the celebrations went on well into the evening.
