Sweet taste of success – Broken Hill Cake Decorators on a roll

It’s time for the annual and ever-popular Broken Hill Cake Decorators Christmas cake stall at the Trades Hall – now open from 10am to 4pm.

Saturday, is the last chance this year to get in and grab some great cakes for the Christmas party or your Christmas day family gathering from 9am till mid-day the ladies will be manning the stall.

There is something for everyone with a wide selection of magnificently decorated baked treats, however, it’s not just delicious baked goods that are on offer, but also some great gift ideas.

There is a one-dollar raffle with two prizes, first ticket drawn has a choice of the prizes and the second ticket can choose from any that are left.

One of the prizes is a Christmas tree with $100-worth of instant lottery tickets and the rest are beautifully decorated traditional Christmas cakes and will be drawn at 12 noon Saturday.

Vicki Sladden, publicity officer for the Broken Hill Cake Decorators, said due to the limited numbers within the group they decided to invite friends along to come and provide other crafts for the stall.

“People come in early to buy because this is when the fresh goods such as pasties, sausage rolls, and pies arrive and then they have a look around.

“It’s good fun we enjoy the social side as a group,” Ms Sladden said.

The group of decorators get together regularly, third Saturday of the month, at the Zinc Bowling Club from 10am.
