Southside Alagich fashion parade

On Saturday, September 30, the Alagich family hosted a delightful sidewalk fashion parade in front of Rudolph Alagich’s Menswear & Hire Service on Patton St. residents of Broken Hill gathered to commemorate 80 years of the family’s dedicated tailoring services to the community.

Following a showcase of fashions spanning four decades, the Community Voices choir serenaded the audience with a few songs. Subsequently, attendees enjoyed slices of cake. During the event, Nancy Alagich paid tribute to her late father, Rudolph Alagich, with a heartfelt speech. She was accompanied by her 98-year-old mother, Millie Alagich.

The duo remembered Rudolph not just as a devoted husband and father but also as an esteemed tailor and an individual deeply invested in his community.
