Share The Dignity

Broken Hill may not have a Bunnings store to collect essential items for the nationwide It’s in the Bag campaign running between November 10 to 26, but the ladies from the Broken Hill Domestic Violence Committee have joined forces with other Far West domestic violence services to support our region’s women and children leaving domestic violence.

The Barrier Truth visited the YWCA on Tuesday as many hands made light work of filling donated handbags and handmade bags lovingly made by the Silver City Quilters with much needed feminine hygiene products for distribution to domestic violence services.

If you have a bag and some essential personal items for women or children that you’d like to donate to the Share the Dignity in the Far West It’s in the Bag campaign, you can drop them into the Barrier Truth office at 179 Blende St from 9:30am to 4pm weekdays or call Chrissy Smith on 0409 801 777 for her pick-up service.
