Schools celebrate dads on Father’s Day

Broken Hill school students have been celebrating dads this week with schools putting on an array of activities to acknowledge the very special role fathers play in our community, with schools supporting students to make dad a memorable gift for Father’s Day – Sunday September 3.

Alma Public School were preparing for Father’s Day, but also because Friday was the first day of Spring, they spent the morning planting trees for National Tree Day, which is a call to action for all Australians to get their hands dirty and give back to their community.

Burke Ward Public School celebrated dads with a Father’s Day breakfast on Friday, dishing up pancakes, or bacon and egg rolls, with hot drinks provided by Giovanni & Co coffee van.

Morgan Street school gathered for their annual Family Brekky. The egg and bacon rolls were a great way to start the day.

The Barrier Truth team wish all fathers a very happy Father’s Day.
