You may have noticed a very pink pop-up shop at Westside Plaza recently, and you may have noticed an array of pink paraphernalia for sale all in the name of raising awareness and funds to support breast cancer cure research.
You’ll get a warm welcome from volunteers, Lexie Milne, Sandra Wilson, and Jan Baum.
“We’re here to help raise awareness about breast cancer,” volunteer Jan told the Truth. “Let’s face it, most people have been affected by it in some way, whether having had an experience themselves, know someone who’s had an experience, or has lost a loved one to it.
“This is our first day here, but we’ll be open again from 11am to 3pm on Saturday July 15 and 29,” she said.
“In August, we’ll be open during the same timeslot on Saturday 12, and then extra days for Mundi Mundi crowds on Monday 14, Tuesday 15, and Wednesday August 16.
With free tea and coffee available, drop in for a chat while you make a pink and white rosette with the ladies.
