On The Run to take over Blende St servo

The petrol station come convenience store provider On the Run [OTR] is coming to town, with its takeover of Lindsay’s Auto and Essentials at 1 Blende St and a planned reopening in November.

OTR, part of the Peregrine Corporation, has locations all over South Australia. They have sites in Victoria and more recently entered the Western Australian market as well.

As we previously reported, OTR will also open a new servo and store on Patton Street sometime next year.

“OTR is very excited about joining the Broken Hill community and creating jobs for local employees. The existing service station in Blende Street will commence operating under the OTR trading name Store 24 from early November 2022,” said an OTR spokesperson.

“Works to upgrade the Blende Street store will commence in the first quarter of 2023, while plans regarding the Broken Hill Patton Street store will be announced at a later stage.”

The newly minted Blende St petrol station will sell fuel 24 hours per day, seven days a week and will have a fully operational convenience store selling beverages, lunch and snack food, and convenience grocery items.
