The Broken Hill Veteran and Vintage Car Club (BHVVCC) held its Auto Show at Memorial Oval on Sunday, with a selection of some 180 cars and motorbikes on display bringing memories motoring back for many.
Enthusiasts from near and far attended and showcased their vehicles, with the furthest making the trip up from Melbourne, and also from locations closer to the Silver City, including Mildura, Port Pirie, and Port Augusta.
Mildura resident John Britt and his 1966 Plymouth Barracuda won the Lynn Steer Best of Show Award, capping off an afternoon that BHVVCC President Gavin Farquhar had been very successful.
“It was a good day. Everyone turned up and enjoyed themselves. The crowd certainly enjoyed themselves. Everyone’s commented about the display of the vehicles and everyone pitched in and gave us a helping hand. It’s a lot of effort that’s worked out really well.”
