This Saturday the Anglican Church of Broken Hill and the Far West will be holding a Garage Sale at St Peters Church on Lane Street from 9am.
The garage sale is set to be massive with plenty of locals clearing out their own garages and houses in a b it of spring cleaning, and as the Rector of the local Anglican Church, Reverend Helen Ferguson, says; “One man’s trash is another man’s treasure.”
“We have some fabulous stuff. Things you would find in the shops, really modern stuff that people are sick of looking at in their own homes, as well as a fair bit of what you would call bric-à-brac as well,” Reverend Ferguson told the Barrier Truth.
On top of the garage sale, there will also be a sausage sizzle that will also be raising funds for the church.
“We have sausages in bread with onion and some fancy sauces too. On top of the regular tomato sauce, we’ll have some hot stuff as well.”
The money raised from the garage sale and sausage sizzle will go towards the many different causes the church supports, both locally and more broadly.
So, if you’re hungry for a bargain, or maybe just plain old hungry – head to 335 Lane Street, St Peters Church this Saturday from 9am to 1pm.
