The historic Barrier Truth newspaper is seeking a professional Administration Assistant to join our busy team. You will be responsible for ensuring all administration duties are carried out to a high standard within the Front Office of the Barrier Truth.

​​This is a position for an enthusiastic and self-motivated person with excellent interpersonal and communications skills, a demonstrated work ethic, great time management skills and good literacy and numeracy skills. You will be required to use your initiative and work as a member of a busy team to meet strict deadlines.


  • Provide excellent customer service at all times, in person, online and by phone.
  • Demonstrate a high standard of quality in all aspects of carrying out your duties.
  • Provide professional administrative support to all departments as required.


  • Relevant experience in an administrative role.
  • Excellent computer literacy and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic environment.
  • High level interpersonal skills, including ability to effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated accuracy and excellent attention to detail.
  • Effective time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong work ethic and the ability to work effectively as part of a busy team.


  • Certificate III in Business Administration.
  • Experience with MYOB.
