Far West Business Awards Return

2018 People’s Choice Service MC's

The Far West Excellence in Business Awards are back after a two year absence.

Organisers, Regional Development Australia Far West [RDAFW] say they are proud to announce the awards’ return, which celebrate Far West NSW businesses and their employees and recognise outstanding contributions to the growth of our region’s economy and community.

Nominations for the awards close on September 30, so be sure to get in soon.

One very popular award which is returning this year is the People’s Choice category.

“The people’s choice categories are extremely popular across the region,” said CEO and Director of Regional Development of the RDAFW, Michael Edwards.

“We all love shopping in businesses that provide service above and beyond our expectations. The people’s choice categories allow the public to demonstrate their appreciation and set the benchmark for positive shopping experiences.”

Mr Edwards sees the awards as the perfect opportunity to promote local business, attract new employees, and show the world what you do. He also told us there are no rules against nominating yourself.

“I often hear businesses say they can’t nominate themselves, but no one knows your business like you do,” Mr Edwards says.

“Nomination in the Awards is a relatively simple process, it’s free and the positive benefits may just provide that point of difference.”

The keynote speaker at the awards event this year – which will be held at the Whitehouse Convention Centre on Saturday, November 5 – is Anthony ‘Harries’ Carol. Harries is most well known as being a part of the multiple Logie award winning TV show Bondi Rescue.

Nominations for the major awards must be completed online but the People’s Choice awards can be nominated online or with a simple paper-based nomination form available at many businesses in the region, with nomination forms also available from the RDA FW Office on Blende St.

To nominate or vote for the categories in the Business Awards go online at www.farwestnswbusinessawards.com

Entries for the 2022 Business Awards will close on Friday, September 30 at midnight.

If you don’t have access to a computer, you can place a nomination at the RDAFW Office at 353 Blende Street. For further information, please contact them on 8087 8383.
