Negotiations which began at the beginning of the Broken Hill Soccer Association (BHSA) season have come to a happy conclusion for Celtic Soccer Club, with a deal that sees Metaline Engineering Group (MEG) become the major sponsors for the club until at least the end of the 2025 season.
The sponsorship deal will see all three senior grades don the MEG logo on the front of their shirt, replacing long-term major sponsor of the club, the Mulga Hill Tavern.
“I am incredibly appreciative of all the help we have received from the Mulga over the years,” Martin Thrift, Celtic Soccer Club President told the Truth about the outgoing sponsor.
Speaking of the new major sponsor, Mr Thrift said he was delighted to strike the deal with MEG, and mentioned they already had some roots in the Celtic family.
“We are over the moon to have MEG on board. It is something a little bit different, and someone who is a part of the Celtic family already, so that was amazing to see them step up.”
Anthony Misagh, Director/Principal Engineer at Metaline Engineering Group told us that the partnership felt natural, with the business and club aligning in many ways.
“My daughters play for the club and I have also played for Celtic previously for a couple of seasons. It is just a great club and it felt natural to see if there is any way, we could help them out,” Mr Misagh said.
The new deal comfortably covers the cost of the new kits and will help with new equipment, along with a few other items that help the sporting department of the club with some tools to help training.
On top of the major sponsorship deal with MEG, the club has also negotiated new minor sponsorship deals with the Broken Hill Pub, Broken Hill Community Credit Union, and Toigo Accounting.
