The vitals of Intensive Care patients in Broken Hill will be available to specialists at Sydney’s Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in real time. This allows patients to receive immediate specialist advice and care.
If needed patients will still be flown out.
Also funding has been allocated for a new pilot shift at the RFDS with the aim to help stop a lack of pilot availability. Ensuring that critical time sensitive patients are flown out as soon as possible.
