Tonky’s Tips for AFLBH Round Three

Round 3 – West vs North, Jubilee Oval 2.30pm Saturday

Both teams are coming off a win and West were extremely good last week. Their dare and run was exceptional and to me they look quite a lot more physical than previous years. Their pressure really was elite.

South also did have some quality personnel out but take nothing away from the Robins as they were super impressive.

North were also pretty good, with a 10 goal win against Central. North got back to playing their brand and they will need to do this again to be able to compete with the Westies.

I anticipate some fire works early this weekend but who stays composed the longest and who can maintain possession of the ball longer will determine the outcome of the match.

I have been scratching my head on this one and I have leaned towards West  Robins by two snags.

South vs Central, Alma Oval 2.30pm Saturday

South will not allow what happened last week to happen again. They will be full of vigour and run, but they will have to beat Central who won’t just hand it to them.

Central are not far away from putting four quarters together and when they do regardless who they’re playing they will put their stamp on the game.

South won’t drop their guard again and will be too strong for the Maggies.

It just goes to show, in my opinion, when teams lose quality personal they become vulnerable, no matter which club it is, but on this occasion I’m going with the home team in the South Roos by six goals.

Enjoy the footy everyone.
