It was a day of celebration at Broken Hill Public Schools as their youngest students turned 100!
No, they weren’t celebrating their 100th birthdays, the new Kindy kids were celebrating their 100th day at school.
The entire school got in on the fun to support their youngest peers becoming, as BHPS like to say, 100 days smarter.
Festivities kicked off with a race between the teachers.
The entire school cheered on their ‘100’ year old teachers in one of the slowest races in recorded history.
And afterwards the stars of the show, revealed just how much they’d learnt in the last 100 days by counting to 100, doing 100 exercises, threading 100 fruit loops on to necklaces, making crowns and, of course, making fairy bread with 100s and 1000s.
