Basketballers in Broken Hill of all ages are enjoying being back on the court.

Players in various divisions have looked forward to matches since the return of the local competition earlier this month.

Junior and senior games are split across several of the weeknights with the intensity from players and coaches featured from start to end.

Wednesday evenings sees the under 12 girls compete. Players said it was so great to be back, each with their own reason why they love the game.

After her match last week, Kenzie, 10, said, “mainly running around the court”.

Last Wednesday’s early games saw Little Pockets take on the Vertex Panthers while the All-Stars went up against the Sparks.

Milly, 10, said she enjoys “playing with my friends and having fun.”

Piper, 10, said her favourite part of playing is “shooting and defending.” She said the winning feeling on the night made her feel “proud.”

Action at the R.K Sanderson stadium continues this week.
