A six-burner deluxe barbecue mounted on a trailer has been created for the 123 Community Hub through Broken Hill City Council Community Grants and Boltons Precision Engineering.

Tammy Carswell Compass Housings Hub Community Participation Officer was thrilled with the final product.

“We want to thank Broken Hill City and Boltons for making it,” she said.

Ms Carswell explained that the process began with round two of the 2020/21 grants, but COVID-19 slowed the process.

Mayor Tom Kennedy said “At Broken Hill City Council, we love to support local community groups and this donation will make barbecue transportation easier and more accessible to the larger community.”

Compass Housing is a Non Government Organisation striving to develop strong communities and aims to achieve better outcomes with their tenants with the Hub.
