Remembering Brian Wells’ Legacy
Known or his keen eye for talent, Oatey swiftly signed Wells, who would go on to don the Norwood jumper in 1953. Wells’ early achievements included runner-up for the Middleton Medal in 1953 and captaincy of the Central Broken Hill Magpies, along with representing Broken Hill against prominent teams like Essendon and South Adelaide.
