Gold donation: Jockey Cup from 1895 finds its way home
A 127-year-old artefact has made its way back to Broken Hill after a recent act of goodwill. The 1895 Broken Hill Jockey Cup returned to the Silver City and will now sit among the town’s Outback Archives collection.

NSW State Government is offering teachers a pay rise lower than the rate of inflation according to the NSW Teachers Federation. The Teachers Federation President Angelo Gavrielatos attended the Barrier Teachers Federation meeting on Friday night to inform them of the Federation’s continuing fight against uncompetitive wages, unsustainable workloads and teacher shortages.
