In a pulsating game of football, the Western Bulldogs after a desperate final minute, held off the Adelaide Crows for a thrilling one-point victory in the round six AFLW game at Norwood Oval, in hot and humid conditions last Sunday afternoon, February 13.
Far West gets 29 new nurses and midwives
Twenty nine nurses and midwives have graduated and are now working in the Far West Local Health District (FWLHD), with two local nurses being placed in Broken Hill. Courtney Hurley and Michelle Pearce are local residents who have achieved their dreams of becoming Registered Nurses.

Broken Hill petrol prices have already risen and across the world countries are readying for the effect of the “Ukraine situation” on crude oil. While the Ukraine / Russia situation is thousands of kilometres away from Broken Hill it will still affect our petrol prices.
2 Dry FM at fever pitch
It was a packed house for the community radio station’s meet-and-greet for volunteers and program pitches and every man and his dog was there. The station’s resident dog, KC, shuddered but bore up bravely after a belly dancer trod on his tail during the whirling veil dance.
